About The Council
The SPACE COAST WORLD TRADE COUNCIL was founded 15 years ago in recognition of the growing contributions of Florida manufacturers and service providers to the international marketplace. The Council's membership is composed of expert and novice business people interested or involved in foreign trade. The Council is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the growth and diversification of the Space Coast and Central Florida economy.
The SCWTC primary goals are:
Serve as an economic development tool developing and strengthening new and existing international business in Brevard County, Florida's Space Coast.
Serve as a networking source for the development of international trade in Brevard County.
Create partnerships with economic development organizations, KSC/NASA, chambers of commerce, Patrick Air Force Base, local universities and colleges, business organizations and other trade related entities.
Identify educational sources in the community and sponsor classes that enhance international business, using local and visiting trade experts.
Increase international trade on the Space Coast.
Increase foreign sales from the Space Coast.
Access centralized source of computerized trade leads from the US Department of Commerce.
Coordinate Trade Missions.
Develop a better awareness of importing and exporting methods.
Serve as a clearinghouse for the interchange of information and opinions.
